Of course you can also join one of the walking safaris we organize in the area that will introduce you to traditional daily life in the countryside. Pay an exclusive visit to one of our community based projects with which we work towards a better future for the children of Tanzania. Or spend a full day in Arusha National Park, a unique and hidden beauty, protected area with plenty of wildlife and breathtaking nature.
What a great days! We've been through so much it feels like we've been here for 2 weeks. The visit to the drop-in center made a deep impression. We would love to do the riverwalk with the boys again!
Safari in one of the Natonal Parks
Kiboko Lodge is part of the beautiful Arusha National Park at the slopes of Mt Meru (4,566m). A stay at the lodge can therefore be perfectly combined with safari in Arusha National Park. Whether you end your Tanzania tour at Kiboko Lodge or just start it, Arusha National Park will certainly surprise you. It is small park but very diverse, with tropical rain forests, acacia forest, crater, open plains and flamingo lakes.
In addition, there are many other National Parks that you can visit after your stay at Kiboko Lodge. Please feel free to ask and organize the possibilities!

It is more than worth to visit a school or to visit www.watotofoundation.nl centers in Makumira and Arusha. They are very happy when our guests are interested in the way of education in Africa
River walking
Is one of the exiting activities of WF Kiboko Lodge for sportive guests of every age. Students of Watoto Foundation and guide will always accompanied the tour. On the way back you are crossing the big rice fields nearby the foundation.
Visit markets
A real African weekly market is something you can not miss. You go there with a guide, the market is especially to support the women to sell their own cultivated vegetables. Also there is a separate part of second hand clothes and shoes.
Coffee tour
One of the main export products of Tanzania is the famous quality of coffee. You visit a farm and see how the prosses is of the red berry to the brown roasted coffee. Of course you are going to taste the hand prepared delicious coffee.
Horseback safari
There is a possibility for experienced people to do a houseback safari nearly the lodge but also in the nearby Arusha national park.
Climbing of Mt. Meru or Kilimanjaro
Many groups staying at Kiboko Lodge have climbed Mt Meru (4566m) or Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m). We can organize the climbing with professional guides and porters and once in life time you have to do such an activity.
Birds watching
Many people are excited about the quantity of birds in Tanzania. Especially around and in the national parks you will see hundreds. Enjoy them and make the most beautiful pictures at the birds paradise Kiboko Lodge.
