Location
Kiboko Lodge is beautifully situated in Ngurdoto Village, in the foothills of Mount Meru (4566 m). On a clear day you will have a beautiful view of both Mount Meru and the snowy peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, while enjoying a drink on one of our five terraces.
The lodge is located in the middle of the bush and is a true bird paradise. The nearby Ngurdoto Crater, the surrounding lakes and the swamp directly adjacent to the lodge attract an enormous diversity of birdlife. Sit back with a cup of tea and your binoculars and marvel at the many tropical birds that fly on and off. Or scour the swamp to catch a glimpse of the “kiboko” (hippopotamus)!
Only 15 minutes from the main entrance of Arusha National Park and 20 minutes from the main road to Arusha, Kiboko Lodge is also a perfect starting point for the start or end of your safari in Tanzania. The lodge is approximately 45 minutes drive from both Arusha and the airport and is the first lodge after Kilimanjaro Airport, We do pick up and drop off with our 4x4.
