Kiboko Lodge

Kiboko Lodge is located in a unique nature reserve at the border of Arusha National Park and the slopes of Mt Meru. Get acquainted with the pure African life and immerse yourself in the sounds of the nature. Between banana - avocado - mango - acacias trees and corn fields at the forest of Kiboko Lodge you can see Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. A hippo (“kiboko” in Swahili) has lived in the swamp next to the lodge, sometimes he still comes to visit. Kiboko Lodge is in partnership of the Watoto Foundation Tanzania, founded by Noud van Hout. The foundation has been giving children in Tanzania a future since 2003. Watoto Foundation gives these students a chance to build a prosperous future. After the final exam they receive training in the hospitality industry and others go to work in agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, metalworking or furniture making. In a country with an unemployment rate of 50-60%, this is a unique opportunity.
